Step #1

pre-construction connections

In this phase we talk hopes, talk dreams, talk details, talk locations all so we can design a fabulous home that best fits your family. What makes you tick? What aspects of your lifestyle affect how you would live in your new home? This is a chance for a sneak peak into your life to help us get on the same page:)


Details: 

  • Meet your contractor and learn about our great team! (who will be doing your HVAC, your roofing, etc)
  • Financing options and pre-approval? Or cash?
  • Price per square foot? (based on your financing options)
  • Do you already have land or are you looking and need a realtor?
  • How long will the build take?


Step #2

design with purpose

In this phase, we ask all the questions inside and out to nail down how to best design your home!


Structural:

  • Number of bathrooms and bedrooms?
  • Open concept framing?
  • Large play basement?
  • How much natural light do you prefer?
  • Attached garage?
  • Library/study on main level?
  • Fireplace?
  • Little things: what is it for you that would make this build truly special? Arched doorways? Zero entry garage? Large cathedral ceilings?

Make it complete:

  • Natural hardwood floors?
  • Quartz countertops? 
  • Fixtures and finishes?
  • Siding and roofing colors and styles?

Step #3

approvals

After nailing down vision and dreams and what we want to make a reality, we will bring our agreements to terms and sign papers. Solidified at this stage, it allows us to write up permits and start site prep!

Permits and site Preparation

Though this phase often happens behind the scenes, the efficiency and legality of the build depends on this vital step. We pull permits in discussions with the building department, zoning department, county/city, etc.

Once approved, we begin site prep by staking the area, tree removal if necessary, and then the ever-anticipated first shovel in the ground. Simultaneously, things such as utilities will be prepped/run to the site and home.

Step #5

Build with confidence

Building really gets going! The foundation is followed by exterior framing, interior work with walls and joists, then capped with trusses and roofing and sealed with windows doors and siding.

During this phase, stay in touch if you want to see any of the build process! It's good to have space to do our work, bu good contractor - homeowner relationships are encouraged and increase confidence in your home!

Framing tour

We will show you around; this step of transparency allows you to see what's behind the walls, increasing your knowledge of your home and increasing your confidence in your new build!

Finishes

Surprisingly to many to-be homeowners, the finishing phase can be the most time consuming (and often one of the most costly) phases to the build. This involves thinks like drywall, cabinets, fixtures, trim, paint, etc. But this is the phase that really takes it from being a simple structure to being your beautiful home.
